Our business, known internationally as The P.A. People for almost 30 years, was established in Sydney over 40 years ago.  We have been known by a variety of names through the years, including Christian Sound, CS Trilogy and The CST Group.

Our original aim was to provide cost effective public address systems, predominantly for schools and churches.  We met this aim through sales, hire and installation of value-for-money equipment, but soon after our inception the company saw the need for products in several niche markets.

A step forward into manufacturing was taken to complement the expanding sales and rental operations, and by the mid 1980s our activities were grouped under two trading names : The P.A. People, and Creative Audio.

The P.A. People is a specialist contractor in the areas of Sound Reinforcement, Performance Lighting, Audio Visual Systems, Video and Communications.  Over the past 40 years we have developed a reputation as one of the industry leaders in these fields.

The company now divides its activities into three operational groups : Sales Hire Service, Installed Systems, and Event Communications.  Throughout each of these groups, we have a strong commitment to our mission statement :

Our Sales Hire Service staff are hand-picked for their knowledge of individual market areas, our products are chosen from over 3,000 items and more than 40 manufacturers, and our goal is true impartiality.  We sell and hire quality equipment which ranges from small battery operated units to large music systems, and specialise in the rental of niche items such as communication systems, radio microphones, and conference electronics.   We provide maintenance services using skilled technicians and the latest computer-aided testing facilities applicable to audio and communications systems through to multi-track and broadcast studios, both analogue and digital. 

Our Installed Systems staff design and install professional audio, audio-visual, control, and communications solutions.  Our clients include many government departments and large corporations, while our installations cover diverse areas of application such as entertainment venue audio and communication systems, factory and school PA and intercom systems, sound reinforcement for sporting venues, audio visual systems, digital recording systems, etc.  Above all, we strive to understand a client’s requirement and then design a solution to fulfil the need.

Our Event Communications staff offer world’s best communications services for a range of events large and small, including Olympic level ceremonies and music festivals.   Our comprehensive inventory of radios, headsets, AV walls, sound level monitoring and control equipment allows us to provide the best solution no matter the degree of complexity required.

All teams are backed up by our support staff who provide the ancillary services necessary to provide a complete turnkey solution.  Members of the team include technical officers, a cabinet maker, a metal tradesman, and engineering and assembly personnel.

Creative Audio was sold to a complementary company in early 2008 and is now Biamp Systems (Australia).  The team continue to develop innovative communications solutions, including the recently released Biamp Vocia range which is the fruition of research and development originally undertaken while the company was still part of The P.A. People group of businesses.
