The P.A. People are Ceremonies Communications experts.
Typically it starts with a large Matrix intercom system and two way radios. We would add some base radios to integrate these elements that form the backbone of the communications system.
To allow the stage management team to view the arena we would provide an EYEcue system with twelve cameras, ten PC based monitoring stations and a Timecode distribution and reader system linked to the audio replay machines so everyone knows where the playback is up to.
Ensuring the cast of volunteers and the artists are able to be accurately cued will require an FM transmissions system and a couple of thousand FM-IEM receivers, along with In Ear Monitors and Radio
Mics for aerialists and headline talent.
Round this off with an extensive RF distribution system, kilometres of cable and fibre, network facilities, WiFi access, IP telephones and perhaps a Timelapse video of the event, and we have a typical ceremonies Communications system.
